Let it Go, Let it Go! But How? – Overcoming Separation Anxiety | BreakTambayan
Ever missed someone so much that it hurts?
How about finding it hard to focus in your present because you couldn’t let go of a past experience or memory?
If yes, then you might have already used the term, “Sepanx” to describe what you are feeling.
“Sepanx” is a very famous expression used by many nowadays, but if you haven’t heard of it yet, this is a term formed by combining the words, “Separation” and “Anxiety.”
According to www.psychologytoday.com, “Separation anxiety refers to excessive fear or worry about separation from home or an attachment figure.”
The idea of being away or separated from something or someone who is so dear to you really gives this feeling that gets to the heart.
But when fear and sadness creep in, what should you do?
Should you wallow in gloom and perceive the world as a lonely place or face the future head on and be of good cheer as you wait for more exciting times ahead?
While it is not at all wrong to feel sadness and loss, it isn’t necessary to linger in that feeling longer than you should.
Separation anxiety should be dealt with and processed carefully. Letting go of situations you couldn’t control could give you the freedom that you have been looking for.
Okay, okay.
Things are easier said than done but don’t worry, you are not alone. Our Breakers, Trish Chu, Jesse Perkins, and Christian Perkins felt the same way too and they have some practical tips for you!
